No Gluten, No Problem

The Jersey Shore

Last weekend, I ventured to the charming coastal town of Manasquan, New Jersey, and was delighted to discover a vibrant gluten-free scene that exceeded my expectations.

Batch Coffee

Our mornings began at Batch Coffee a cozy spot where gluten-free options abound. They offer a rotating selection of a handful of gluten-free pastries each week. We indulged in the GF pumpkin loaf, funfetti loaf, and banana chocolate chip muffin—all moist, flavorful, and perfect with a cup of coffee. On subsequent visits, I noticed their grab-and-go fridge stocked with several gluten-free overnight oat options, making it a convenient choice for breakfast or a light snack.

🥪 Main Street Kitchen

For lunch, we stopped by Main Street Kitchen, a local market and café offering a variety of gluten-free items. They provide gluten-free bread for sandwiches, and I was pleasantly surprised to find gluten-free croutons and homemade gluten-free granola in their grab-and-go section. While not a dedicated gluten-free facility, they take precautions to minimize cross-contamination, which is reassuring for those with dietary restrictions.

🍕 Esposito's Pizza

No trip to the Jersey Shore is complete without pizza, and Esposito's Pizza did not disappoint. They offer a gluten-free crust that holds up well—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Manasquan may be a small town, but it offers a delightful array of gluten-free options that rival those of larger cities. Whether you're a local or just visiting, these spots are worth checking out for anyone seeking safe and delicious gluten-free fare.
